Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Father, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.

**Update**

Dillon wasn't seriously injured in the accident. He was released last night from the hospital and is heading back home to keep a sprained ankle elevated.

Jason Lavender's son Dillon was accidentally ran over by a vehicle this evening (his leg). His mother is taking him to Baylor Waxahachie, and Jason and Kathy are on their way to meet them at the hospital. Please be in prayer for Dillon as well as Jason and Kathy.

Please pray for my long time friend and her family. She has a three year old little girl with polyticular arthritis. They just got the diagnosis last week after 2 years of dr's telling them that they had no idea why she was in pain and not as active as normal toddlers. Her name is Crystal and the little girl is Lindsay. Crystal will have to give Lindsay a shot once a week to help her. It is a form of chemo, but it depleats her folic acid. She will suffer this form of arthritis for the rest of her life. Please hvae them in your thoughts and prayers, as it is very painful for Lindsay, but it has been very hard on her mommy, daddy, and big sis. We all know that its heart wrenching when our babies are hurt!
Thanks so much!
~Kat
